It Takes One To Love One
Recently, we acquired another litter of abandoned kittens. I was concerned about the way Marmalade and Digit would react to the intrusion, but there was no need.
As soon as I would feed the kittens, Marmalade would give them a bath. He was very attentive and gentle with them. I don't know why he did this, since he's a male cat. He also didn't have a mother himself. Maybe this had something to do with it.
He seemed to really enjoy having the kittens around. We wanted to keep one of them, but living in an apartment made that impossible. We were able to give his favorite kitten to a friend, and we're able to keep track of her that way.
We hope to get a house soon, so the next time we have a litter to foster, Marmalade can keep his favorite.
